• Takt Time (TT) = Net production Time (PT) / Units Customer Demand (UD)
• CycleTime (CT) = Net Production Time (PT) / Units Produced (UP)
• Lead Time (LT) = Time from order to dispatch
• Crew size (CS) = Cycle Time (CT) / Takt Time (TT)
• CT <= TT ===> enough resources. If CT > TT need more resources or improve process.
• Takt time is external – target: That is demand based.
• Cycle time is internal – actual: That is process based. Reduced only when process improves.
